Konstruction Khronicles: Week 1 (Part 1)

Checked out my new home last weekend! Nothing too exciting at the moment, we just have piles and piles of sands in the different rooms, waiting to be mixed and turned into the base for our flooring. I think once the flooring, the aircon system and the carpentry are ready baru kita boleh break out the pompoms and start rasa geli geli at our spines nanti :D

Got my supermommy to teman me since Saliheen was away, and we spent about 15 minutes in the unit taking pictures and checking that all the delivered items were correct. Wanted to vlog but I totally forgot! After that we walked to the newly opened Teh Tarik for lunch because it is only a two minutes' walk away from my new flat hehe

Besides Teh Tarik, there's kedai kopi Techno (Western), Habibie (Thai/Chinese Seafood and Malay), Haji Kadir (Indian - no need to go Beach Road for good tulang!), two more stalls behind the markets (one Western stall and one Malay stall but can't recall their names), A1 Penang Chendol, KFC and a 24-hours McDonalds outlet within walking distance in our new neighbourhood. It's crazy! Our kitchen might just not berasap for the first few years!

And if that isn't enough, there are three different supermarkets within the neighbourhood's central hub as well - Giant Express, Prime Supermarket and Yes Supermarket, surrounded by various hairdressers, smaller grocery shops, pharmacies like Guardian and Watsons, tailors, medical clinics, hardware and electrical shops, bakeries, UOB and POSB ATM machines, and a POSB retail outlet (Which means we don't have to go all the way to Tampines Interchange if we need to queue for something at the bank whoop whoop). We're practically our own country, you guys. Haha!

I've fallen hard in love with our new neighbourhood, and I now know why we didn't get the two different units we applied for previously... it is because He wants to give us this rezeki instead. Truly and surely, He knows best

    1. HAHAHAHAHA! That's another way to look at it!

Saliheen *hates* it when I tell him how great Tampines is, because he keeps arguing that Central lagi bagus because "10 minutes to and from everywhere" And I keep telling him "Why do you need to go to and from everywhere when you can have everything in Tampines???"

      Member pun dah GIVAP HAHAHAHA
